Activities
Your ELI experience goes beyond the classroom!
Our students can participate in a variety of activities and events offered in addition to regular classes. With a range of choices, students have opportunities to apply language in different contexts and build friendships in an active, social environment.
These are led by our ELI Cultural Assistants (UBC students) and may include:
- Touring places of interest in Vancouver and on UBC Campus
- Exploring and hiking in local natural areas
- Participating in language building activities at the ELI such as scavenger hunts, board or digital games, sports, and casual conversation sessions on topics of interest
Students can experience the best of British Columbia and beyond through trips to Victoria, Whistler, and other destinations, plus outings to local attractions and sporting events, all fully managed and operated by our external travel provider.
