Your ELI experience goes beyond the classroom!

What takes place in the classroom is just the beginning of the learning experience at ELI. Our sociocultural activities, led by our Cultural Assistants, who are UBC students, are one of the special features that make the ELI an exceptional place to learn English. Join your classmates in language building activities such as scavenger hunts, board or digital games, sports, and casual conversation sessions at lunch. After class, discover UBC campus and other local places of interest, attend events or connect with nature and go hiking. Explore BC on a weekend day trip to Victoria, Whistler, Squamish and beyond provided by our partners.*
