Visas and Study Permits
If you plan to study in Canada for less than six months, you may be able to enter Canada as a visitor. Depending on your nationality, you may need a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to enter Canada. If you plan to study in Canada for more than six months, you will need to apply for a study permit for the duration of your program. Immigration requirements vary by country and individual circumstances. For the most up-to-date and detailed information, please visit the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website.
After the ELI processes your application form, non-refundable application fee, and program deposit, we will email you your student registration documents, including your Letter of Acceptance (LOA). Your LOA will show only the sessions you are registered for.
You can request a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) only if you are applying for a program that is longer than six months.
Although processing times can vary from country to country, you should allow at least three months to obtain your study permit. We strongly recommend applying for your study permit as early as possible, especially during busy periods. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, please check Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
If you do not receive your visa or study permit at least two weeks before your program starts, please contact us as soon as possible. We will review your situation and explain the options available to you.
Please refer to our cancellation policies in case of visa refusal.
